Fans of the Emmy Award winning series Mad Men may recognize Sadie as Scarlett, the sassy and mischievous secretary who joined SCDP in Season 5. She also played a leading role in the independent pilot entitled "The Hotline" directed by Ray Donovan's Dash Mihok, before landing a recurring role on the ABC Family Show, The Fosters. Sadie worked on the Mandeville Films feature, "Broken Horses" starring Vincent D'Onofrio, Anton Yelchin, directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra & the hilarious "Lucy in the Sky with Diamond" starring Lou Diamond Phillips, directed by Mosaic writer/director, Joey Boukadakis. Sadie also plays Jackie in the Jillian Armenante project "Kittens in a Cage" alongside an amazing cast including Joel McHale, Michelle Monaghan & Amy Brenneman. She played Renata in one of her favorite projects, a dark short called "Dinner with Ana" which earned her a Best Actress award at the Columbia University Film Festival. Sadie was also a series regular on the hilarious webseries, "Relationship Red Zone" written and produced by Marc Singer, Eli Green and Ross Mackenzie. She appeared as a guest star in the HBO/Cinemax film noir "Femme Fatales" opposite Casper Van Dien, and played the lead role of Firoozeh in the epic, "Sinbad: The Fifth Voyage" alongside Lorna River & Patrick Stewart.
Other movie credits include supporting roles in the indie features, "Starting From Scratch" & "Act Naturally" which won the Audience Choice Award at the United Film Festival. Sadie can also be seen in the action blockbuster, "Gamer" starring Gerard Butler & Michael C. Hall. Other television credits include recurring guest stars on “As the World Turns” and "Neighbros," a webseries produced & directed by Laura Prepon.
Sadie is very proud to have starred in a successful 5 month run of the critically acclaimed "Love Sucks" at the Coast Playhouse in West Hollywood, and as the role of Monica Lewinsky opposite Brent Spiner in the World Premiere of "The Last Look Back" with the Ensemble Studio Theater Los Angeles, directed by Gates McFadden.
Sadie is well known for the original “What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas” commercial, shot by Oscar winning DP, Emmanuel Lubezki. The catchy and recognizable spot launched an ongoing campaign and was Number 1 on Adweek's "Spots to Watch" list. Over her 20 years with Abrams Artists Agency she's landed principal roles in close to 50 national network commercials, including ads for Geico, Vanda, Kleenex, Comcast, Jared Jewelers, Swiffer, Coors, Chevy's, Wendy's, Merck Medical, Turbo Tax, Staples, 1-800-Flowers, Milky Way, Hasbro, Honda (dir. Fred Savage), Cascade, Comcast, Bud Light (feat. Carlos Mencia), AT&T, Publix, Applebee's (feat. Tyler Florence) Fruit of the Loom, Ford and more.
Sadie is also an Audie Award nominated Audiobook Narrator. She has worked for many publishers including Harper Collins & Brilliance Audio, and is most proud and thankful for the honor to have narrated a few novels by Joyce Carol Oates.
Sadie is also a Voice Performer who has voiced National Network Commercials and Video Games. Most notably, Call of Duty - Cold War, as the Zombie Mode, Big Boss character of Dr. Aleksandra Valentina, and a National Network Milky Way Commercial.
Sadie received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting from The Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. She also studied in the UK, at the London Academy of Theater under Patron Dame Judi Dench, and at the William Esper Studio in New York City. Her LA training includes: on camera studies at the Steve Eastin Studio and stunt training at the Academy of Theatrical Combat.
Sadie Alexandru is a first generation, Romanian-American, and native New Yorker, born on the upper east side of Manhattan, but did most of her growing up and schooling across the river. Yes, she obligingly responds to the tender term "Jersey girl." The catalyst for her relocation to LA was a flight to Los Angeles courtesy of Jersey Films (Danny DeVito) & Fox Network to screen test for a series regular role on a pilot called "The American Embassy."
Sadie spends as much free time as she can with her loving husband & daughter, honing her Ukulele skills, Camping and Snowboarding in the Great Outdoors, Traveling, Hugging Animals, Cooking & listening to Music.
Sadie took up permanent residency in Los Angeles, CA in January of 2006 and continues to work with Kristin Nava at Nava Artists Agency for On Camera and Imperium 7 for Voiceover.
